Honor and glory to those unbowed by the class struggle

In the run up to the major celebrations of the KKE's 100th anniversary in 2018, the CC of the KKE honours those unbowed by the class struggle, i.e. communists and other militants who stood firm and fought for a society without the exploitation of man by man under the most difficult conditions either in the flames of battle or in prison, exile or in the torture chambers. In this framework, the CC of the KKE has organized a number of events in places that symbolize the contribution of the unbowed all over Greece, by erecting monuments to the militants in these places.
At the Headquarters of the CC of the KKE, a monument was erected for Nikos Belogiannis, which used to stand in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, before the counterrevolution in the socialist countries. A plaque has also been put up, which includes twenty names of members of the CC of the KKE, who had been murdered or killed in battle from the party's foundation until the 1960s.
Tropaia
The organizations of the KKE honoured the heroic activity of the DSE in the Peloponnese and in particular one of its most important achievements: the organization of people's power and especially the People's Schools of the Peloponnese, highlighting what the people can achieve when they decide to come into conflict with their exploiters. In this framework the party organizations held an event at Tropaia, Arkadia, opposite the building where the People's School functioned in 1948.
Trikeri
The CC of the KKE organized an event on the island of Trikeri to honour the approximately 5,000 women that were exiled there, some together with their children, and through them all the women comrades and other militants who were unbroken by the class struggle and stood firm in the prisons and places of exile.
Ai Stratis
for over 30 years from 1929 this island was a place of exile, where over 15,000 communists and other militants stayed at one time or another in this period. It was visited by members and friends of the KKE and KNE, headed by the GS of the CC of the KKE, D.Koutsoumpas.
As cde Dimitris Koutsoumpas characteristically noted in his speech:"Amongst the islands of exile, Ai Stratis is in the "top" position in terms of longevity, size and "fame" as a place of exile for members and friends of the KKE. The struggle of thousands of communists and other militants, who fought with self-sacrifice under the banners of the KKE, deserves our respect. Despite the attempts made by the system to erase the memory, to manipulate and distort its history, the island of Ai Stratis will never become a vague "symbol of democracy", but will remain a symbol of those unbowed by the class struggle and remind and teach us about the two worlds that are in conflict with each other."
