In a statement on the developments in Sudan, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE stressed the following:
“The KKE expresses its full solidarity with the people and the working class of Sudan as well as the comrades of the Sudanese CP, who are once again faced with a coup.
We denounce the military coup that reflects the fierce power struggle between powerful sections of the bourgeoisie of the country, in combination with the inter-imperialist competition in the wider Sahel region, where both Euro-Atlantic and Chinese and Russian monopoly interests are involved.
The people of Sudan with their struggle can defend their economic, social, and democratic rights. They can form the preconditions to become masters in their own land.”
