DIMITRIS KOUTSOUMBAS:In 2024, the current that questions the dominant policy should be reinforced and meet the revolutionary political proposal of the KKE

The Panepirotic Confederation of Greece sang the New Year’s carols to the GS of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, at the headquarters of the KKE in Perissos. Dimitris Koutsoumbas made the following statement:

“Good morning to all, happy New Year. We welcome 2024 with new, more dynamic struggles to increase people’s income, to cancelforeclosure auctions, to fight against the heavy taxationonthe people, to oppose the establishment of private universities - branches of multinational companies, to protect the public health and welfare system, to protect the primary health care system, which is crumbling throughout the country and even more so in Epirus that you represent today, to strengthen solidarity with all the peoples of the world, with all the disadvantaged of this society, and to stop the carnage of wars and imperialist interventions. Ultimately, to strengthen the already existing current that questions the dominant policy, so that it meets the revolutionary political proposal of the KKE. Have a happy 2024!”.

A day before, on the morning of Saturday 30 December, the children’s choir of the Palestinian Communityin Greece also sang New Year’s carols to the GS of the CC of the KKE. “Good morning to all. On behalf of the CC of the KKE we would like to wish you a happy new year! On today’s occasion, we would like to express once again our solidarity with the suffering Palestinian people, who, especially in the past two months, have been massacred by a murderous state, i.e. Israel, with the consent and under the responsibility of its allies, the USA and other powerful capitalist states of the EU. This is the reason why the Greek people and youth have taken to the streets. We must stop this carnage in Gaza and the West Bank, where every day we mourn innocent children, women, elderly people and civilians in general, who fall victims of the bombings and this holocaust perpetrated by the Israeli state.

We will stand by your side. This is the promise we give you now that 2023 is coming to an end and a new year is dawning. May 2024 be a happier year, with peace in the region, with peace in Palestine, with world peace, with new dynamic struggles, with solidarity and joint action of the peoples against the enemy, against imperialism, against capitalism, against all those who destroy our lives and murder our children. Happy New Year! Free Palestine!” said Dimitris Koutsoumbas.
