On 23 April 2025, the International Anti-Fascist Forum (IAF), organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), with the support, as it stated, of the Russian government and Presidency, took place in Moscow.
According to its statements, 450 delegates from 91 countries, representing 164 organizations, took part in the IAF. Of course, so far the organizers have not proceeded to publish the list of participating organizations. In a preliminary list, which reached our hands, Greece was represented by a delegation of the Greek branch of the so-called World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP) consisting of 2 ... South Koreans (!), as well as a Greek woman, representing the Greek branch of the also invisible “International Anti-Imperialist Front”. The KKE, for specific reasons, which we will explain below, neither participated nor sent a message to this event, as was falsely propagated. But, as it turns out, the facetious rumoringdid not end with the representation of Greece. It is characteristic that Turkey, among others, was allegedly represented by the nationalist party “Vatan” (‘Homeland’), formerly of Maoist origin, which now openly supports the current President of Turkey, T. Erdogan from so-called “anti-imperialist” positions and rumors link it directly to the General Staff of the Turkish armed forces.
In view of the above, we should bring this text to and end here and not bore the reader any further. We cannot, however, deny the fact that Communist and Workers' Parties participating in the International Meetings of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) also took part in this IAF. Besides, we have already pointed out in the past that in the IMCWP, where the KKE also participates, there is a fierce struggle being wagedaround many significant political and ideological issues. That is why it is important, we think, to deal with the issue ofthe 2nd IAF more closely.
