In his statement, the GS of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumpas, on the EU Parliamentary elections stressed that:

“With the many years of experience as a weapon, the EU Parliamentary elections can become a major step for the emancipation of the people from the EU, its policies and parties, a major step for the strengthening of the KKE. Only in this way can we oppose the current anti-people political line of the government and the EU and to pave the way for a truly pro-people way out of the crisis. Every other option traps the people’s rage, directing it back onto the course of the EU and the illusions that this reactionary structure of capital can be humanized.”
