The youth needs a strong KKE

The 11th Congress of KNE was held from the 18th to the 22nd of December (2014) at the headquarters of the CC of the KKE, with the slogan "KNE – the pioneer youth of KKE, combatively marching on the way for a socialist tomorrow, without crises, wars or exploitation"

The Secretary of the outgoing Central Council of KNE, Thodoris Chionis, presented its report of work, while the President of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), Nikos Papadimitriou, saluted the opening of the Congress' work.

As T. Chionis stressed in the report of work: "The only criterion that responds to the interests of the workers, unemployed, self-employed, poor farmers, students and school-students, the popular families, and what we need for the next day is the strengthening of the KKE everywhere. We need a powerful KKE for the people not to be deceived once again. This is because it is the only guarantee for us to be able to organize our counterattack and struggle for the life we deserve. The KKE has no commitments to and dependencies on the EU and the businessmen. The KKE refuses to become the militant alibi of any government that operates within the framework of the EU and the rotten system. The KKE is the only force that can inspire and organize the resistance, the struggle of the workers and youth against the anti-people political line and takes the lead in strengthening the people's solidarity. So that we can pave the way for the only solution in favour of the people and youth in order to finally satisfy our contemporary social needs, in line with the potential of scientific and technological development, so that we can achieve people's prosperity with people's power."
