Friday 18 September marked 13 years since the murder of anti-fascist musician and metalworker Pavlos Fyssas in Keratsini by the shock troops of the the Nazi criminal organization Golden Dawn. That same afternoon, a rally was organized at the Pavlos Fyssas memorial (in Keratsini, a neighbourhood of Piraeus), followed by a march to Kokkinia, located in the neighboring district of Nikaia, where in August 1944 the Nazis and their local collaborators set up a roadblock and executed over 100 communists and other National Resistance fighters. Thousands of workers and young people responded to the call of the Labour Centre of Piraeus, of PAME and of dozens of trade unions and mass organizations.
