The anti-communist campaign of the social-democratic PSUV government against the CP of Venezuela is further escalating, following the unacceptable decision of the Supreme Court of Justice, which in August 2023 outlawed the CP of Venezuela and recognized a group of paid agents of government representatives in its place.
The PSUV's attack, with the complicity of right-wing reactionaryforces, is now directed against the elected MP and General Secretary of the CP of Venezuela, comrade Oscar Figuera, announcing the usurpation of the Party's seat in the National Assembly. This event is the culmination of the undemocratic proceedings of the National Assembly overthe last years, during which comrade Figuera was systematically denied the right to speak.
The KKE condemns the escalation of anti-communist measures and expresses its internationalist solidarity with the CP of Venezuela and comrade Oscar Figuera. We express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people who are suffering the consequences of the imperialist aggression and the anti-people's policy of the PSUV.
