Hundreds of farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, and fishermen across the country are facing prosecution for their participation in the 2025–2026 protests. They are being charged with criminal offences, primarily that of “obstructing transportation”.

The KKE submitted an amendment to Parliament calling for an end to the unjust persecution of struggling farmers and livestock breeders who recently took part in the roadblocks protests in defence of their livelihoods.
