KKE members acquitted

On 19 May, a court acquitted two trade unionists and KKE cadres who had been on trial for participating in the anti-imperialist demonstration organized by the KKE on 17 November 2020. The demonstration had been banned by the government under the pretext of the coronavirus pandemic, leading to a police crackdown on the KKE rally and a number of arrests.
