Developments in our region are critical. The government must now break off all military cooperation with Israel

Following Israel’s attack on Iran, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, GS of the CC of the KKE, made the following statement on developments in the Middle East:

“Developments in our region are critical! Following its attack on Iran, the murderous state of Israel, backed by the USA, NATO and the EU, has ignited the flames of war, risking conflagration throughout the region.

The New Democracy government is involving us in dangerous and unpredictable adventures by taking on the role of advocate for the crimes of Israel and its allies against the suffering people of Palestine, the peoples of Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen.

It must now break off all military cooperation with Israel; the Greek frigate and the Patriot missile battery must be withdrawn from the Red Sea and Saudi Arabia; and all US-NATO bases in our country must be closed.”
