EUROPEAN COMMUNIST MEETING 2013

The KKE is organizing the European Communist Meeting in Brussels on the 30th of September, 2013 on the following topic: “The role of the communist and workers’ parties of Europe in order to strengthen the struggle of the working class and popular strata against the EU and the strategy of capital, for the pro-people way out from the capitalist crisis, the overthrow of capitalism, socialism.”

The Communist and Workers’ Parties from all overEuropewill discuss in this meeting their struggle against the EU and the strategy of capital, exchange experiences from their activity, plan initiatives to coordinate their activity. This year’s meeting has an additional importance as it is being held in the period before the impending EU Parliamentary elections.

The introductory speech will be delivered by the GS of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumpas.

The following 33 communist and workers’ parties from all overEurope will participate in this year’s meeting:

Party of Labour of Austria, Communist Party of the Workers of Belarus,  Workers' Party of Belgium, Union of Communists in Bulgaria, New Communist Party of Britain, Socialist Workers' Party of Croatia, AKEL , Communist Party of Bohemia Moravia, Communist Party of Denmark, Communist Party in Denmark, Pole of Communist Revival in France, Union of Revolutionary Communists of France, Unified Communist Party of Georgia, German Communist Party , Communist Party of Greece, Hungarian Workers' Party, The Workers' Party of Ireland, Communists People’s Left-Communist Party of Italy,  Party of the Italian Communists, Socialist Party of Latvia, Socialist People’s Front of Lithuania, Communist Party of Luxembourg, Communist Party of Malta, People’s Resistance Moldova, New Communist Party of the Netherlands, Communist Party of Norway, Portuguese Communist Party, Communist Workers' Party of Russia, Communist Party of Soviet Union , New Communist Party of Yugoslavia , Communist Party of Peoples of Spain, Communist Party of Sweden, Communist Party of Turkey.

It should also be noted that the meeting to found “the Initiative of communist and workers’ parties in order to study and elaborate European issues and to coordinate their activity” will be held on the 1st of October in Brussels. 30 communist and workers’ parties have stated that they will participate in this initiative.
