Mobilization against the frigate deployment in the Red Sea

On Sunday 18/2, the Labour Centre of Piraeus, the city’s trade unions and other mass organizations, held a mobilization outside the Naval Station of the Greek Navy in Salamina, where the frigate “Hydra” is located. The Greek government is preparing to send the frigate to the Red Sea in the framework of the imperialist missions of the EU and NATO.

The protesters, with their speeches and slogans, demanded that Greek forces and ships should not be deployed in the Red Sea, that the country should not participate in the imperialist missions of the US-NATO-EU. They called for the strengthening of the struggle for the closure of the US-NATO military bases and the disengagement of Greece from the imperialist organizations of NATO and the EU.
