On the "peace" agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh

The recent military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which lasted for more than 40 days, bathing the peoples and especially the youth of these two former Soviet Republics in blood, was due to the confrontation of different plans of the bourgeois classes, as well as their joint pursuit in conditions of capitalist crisis, to strengthen the sterile and dangerous ground of nationalism and the mutual massacre of peoples, so that their power is not shaken.
At the same time, the involvement of other bourgeois classes, such as of Turkey, which has openly supported Azerbaijan's military operations, to expand its geopolitical pillars in the Caucasus and the Caspian region, has become even more apparent in this conflict.
The agreement signed between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, for peace in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, puts its seal on the new correlation of forces that is being formed in the Caucasus and the Caspian region. Russia is expanding its military and political presence by deploying "peacekeeping forces" in Nagorno-Karabakh and securing its road connection with Armenia. Turkey, which is a NATO member, acquires a new role in a particularly critical region, which is a "channel" connecting the Black Sea with the Caspian Sea, through its participation in the so-called "peace center" that will be established in Azerbaijan, further strengthening its political-military presence there.
In any case, this will be a temporary agreement, which has basic characteristics of imperialist "peace", such as the occupation and exchange of territories and the existence of foreign monitors. However, these intersecting pursuits of the bourgeois classes of Russia and Turkey in one more region, that of the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea, may create the conditions for the outbreak of a new war in the future.
The peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan, who in the past had been living in peace for decades, constructing a new socialist society, today in capitalist conditions are paying with their blood the promotion of one or the other - but always foreign - capitalist interests. As far as the peoples draw lessons from their history, they have the power to put up a front against both foreign imperialist interventions as well as the interests of the bourgeois classes. They can build their own wall against imperialist wars and chart a strategy of confrontation with the capitalist system that bears crises, wars, and refugees.
