Statement of the GS of the CC of the KKE

Solidarity is the message of the KKE to the Palestinian people!

In his statement on 11/05/2021 concerning the escalation of the Israeli aggression, the GS of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, stressed the following:

“Solidarity!

 

This is the message of the KKE to the Palestinian people, who are currently being tested by the airstrikes of the murderous state of Israel, with the connivance of the USA and the EU. Israeli aggression was strengthened following the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The bombardments and the dozens of casualties —including young children— add to the exclusion and Israeli settlements that the Palestinian people have been suffering for years.

 

We call on the Greek Government to immediately stop the dangerous policy of “upgrading” the military cooperation with Israel, pursued by all governments so far. This policy provides an alibi for the crimes against the Palestinian people, who demand their fundamental rights against the dangerous policy of Israel to annex Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the continuation of the Israeli occupation on Palestinian territory.

 

We must immediately proceed with the recognition of the Palestinian state by Greece, utilizing the unanimous decision of the Parliament in 2015”.

On Wednesday 12/05/2021, members of the KNE held a banner outside the greel Parliament that read “No cooperation with the murderous state of Israel. Freedom for Palestine”
