The KKE denounces the employer crime in Turkey

Dear comrades,

We express our indignation regarding the new mass-scale employer crime in the city of Soma which has led to the deaths of over 200 workers, while hundreds of miners are still missing and continue to be trapped inside the mine.

The company “SOMA Komur Isletmeleri A.S” bears enormous responsibilities as it did not take basic measures for the safety and protection of the workers. The Erdogan government also bears political responsibilities as it encourages employer unaccountability.

Once again, it has been demonstrated that the capitalist development path is inhuman, revolting and dangerous for the workers as it does not take anything into consideration in its quest for the super profits of the monopolies.

We ask you to convey our sincere condolences and class solidarity to the families of the victims, their co-workers, to the working class of Turkey as a whole.
